  • The Velocity-Area MethodInstead of assuming a constant cross-sectional area, the RBEF-P Series continuously measures two critical variables:Liquid Level (h): Built-in level sensors accurately determine the instantaneous height of the liquid inside the pipe.
  • Flow Velocity (v): Electromagnetic coils and multi-pair electrodes calculate average fluid velocity using Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction.

By multiplying the real-time cross-sectional wetted area A(h) by the flow velocity v, the integrated transmitter calculates accurate volumetric flow:  Q = A(h) in real time, even when the liquid level fluctuates significantly.
